TURKEY - VISITING FAMILY

WWe



Turkey - a wonderful mixture of culture, natural beauty and diversification. 
My niece, Jamey and her husband Jeremy are living in Turkey with their two chilcren, Josephine and Jack. Jeremy is in the Air Force stationed at Incirlik Air Force Base near Adana (the 6th largest city in Turkey - population 1.6 million) Jeremy is a Lt Col. and is in charge of the Hospital on the base.
The base is home to 5,000 soldiers with 1/2 Americans. It is very near the Syrian border. 

I few into Adana from Istanbul. 


Jamey and Josephine and I ate lunch at the golf club on the base. 
This is the neighborhood where they live on base. 

This is Josephine's school. 

We went shopping at the local market....
Do you believe the size of the radishes??

Chicken for dinner?
Mommy may I have a treat after my hard day of shopping?
We're finished.....Jack's at home with Haley, the baby sitter
Hanging around Adana, and shopping at the local places....
We both get to go today.......
The most famous leather store in Turkey!!
Aunt Lynn bought me a "Coach purse"
We found the CHOCOLATE Baklava shop!!

The second largest mosque in the country....built in 4 months time...
A local restaurant in Adana.....a meal for 5 people for $35!!
Some of us slept during the appetizer......
A fancy restaurant the last night.....
Sis put her headscarf on me....
Headed home for the evening.....
