TEN DAYS WITH AVA (7 ) AND AUNT LYNN IN DALLAS AND NEW YORK CITY


VISITING AUNT LYNN IN DALLAS

Aunt Lynn drove to and from Houston to pick up Ava Bailey. Ava spent the week in Dallas.
She was enrolled in acting/musical theatre class. At the end of the week, she and her class put on a wonderful performance.

We went to High Tea at the Adolphus Hotel, an historic hotel in Dallas. 

Ava went swimming in the pool at Aunt Lynn's condo. We saw the movie Pitch Perfect 2.

One evening we went to the Clyde Warren park in Dallas.

Acting class was at the Dallas Children's Theatre.
Yet another
"Frozen" product...this time a lunch box for school.

Arriving the first day....

Her play was "Into the Woods of Kansas"
Ava's classes were from 9:30 - 2:30. The people at the Dallas Children's Center were very organized.

After Ava's performance, we left for New York City. This was Ava's first time on an airplane.

We stayed  in mid-town Manhattan, on the West Side at the Michelangelo Hotel. 

We ate breakfast at a famous New York diner - Lindy's.

On Saturday we took the "hop on , hop off" bus". Dean was our wonderful tour guide. We went all around Manhattan.
Donald Trump got married at this church three times. 
The new Freedom Tower at the 9/11 site. 


We went to Mass at St. Malachy's - "The Actor's Chapel".

We ate at a French restaurant in the theatre district before we went to see the Broadway musical "Aladdin".

On Sunday, there was a big Puerto Rican parade down Fifth Avenue

. We went to FAO SCHWARTZ, a famous toy store on Fifth Aveneue. It will be closing in July. 

We ate lunch at Bergdorf Goodman.

We went to the matinee of "The Lion King".


Empire State Building was great. There were no lines, and the view was clear and beautiful.

Celebrating a birthday dinner at The Capital Grille.
