Oslo, is a vibrant city centered around a harbour and guarded by a castle.

It is an eclectic place of traditional timber houses, stately Neo-Classical buildings and the latest in ultra-modern architecture, with thriving cafe life that spills outdoors in the summer.

Around Oslofjorden - a summer playground teaming with boats - evidence of Norway's Viking heritage abounds.
The Vikings were a warrior like maritime race whose voyages took them as far as America in one direction and the Caspian Sea in the other, and whose raiding parties inspired terror in the coastal communities of Northern Europe.
