HONG KONG - HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL MARCH 2015

HONG KONG  - FILM FESTIVAL

Hong Kong pulsates with the visual energy of a fireworks display. Mesmeric in a multitude of ways, at times chaotic, intriguing, puzzling, and endlessly exciting. Hong Kong is fuelled and inspired by constant immigration, from mailand China (40 million a year), and all corners of the world.
Seven million souls focused on both top dollar and bottom line in an area half the size of Rhode Island.

Hong Kong was in the limelight with a dignified return to Chinese sovereignty in 1997 which marked the end of a colony, an era and an empire. It is now a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China, with a key role to play in the growth of the Chinese economy....."one country two systems" pledge is currently working, despite concerns.

He founded Shaw Bros studios and the Shaw Prize - often referred to as the 'Nobel Prize "  of Asia. He died at 107.
