Built at the beginning of the 17th century, the interior of this church is decorated with polychrome ceilings, numberous paintings from the Cusco School, a majestic organ, as well as intricate silverwork and baroque altars.
After we left Cusco, we met with our Butterfield and Robinson Group. We were then to begin our journey to the Sacred Valley for three days, and then to the crowning glory of Machu Picchu.
But first we had a sacred ceremony with a Shaman - a spirit medium who has practiced prayer,sacrifice, rainmaking and healing to bless us on our journey.
